I landed a phone interview for a job I really want. Yay! Originally the headmaster of the school had wanted to do the phone interview yesterday at 5:30 but I explained that I had a staff meeting I had already committed to attend. So he suggested today at 4:30. I run an after school program and it was really difficult for me to get out of work for this interview but I did manage to do it.
I am concerned though that if the phone interview goes well and I get an in person interview that he will suggest a time that is after school for him again/my most important part of the work day. I haven't called out sick from my job in several years and calling out sick several times close together will raise some eyebrows. If he does is it unreasonable that I ask if he is available before 2pm or do I just suck it up and agree to come in and interview and whatever time he suggests?
I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
