Posté le: Jeu 1 Fév - 09:22 (2018) Sujet du message: Xbox 360 Pro vs Xbox 360 S HDMI BC Halo 2
I have an Xbox 360 Pro and an Xbox 360 S. During game play (specifically split-screen or system link) I noticed much more aliasing (jagged edges) when using the 360 S compared the Pro. The Pro has noticeably smoother textured graphics. I've experimented with various set-ups to try to troubleshoot this (using same cables, tv inputs, etc.). I've compared the video settings on the Xbox's and they are the same.
The one theory I have is that maybe the 360 S has a newer HDMI output spec (1.3 or higher) and the Pro has 1.2. Perhaps this is causing an issue? I have no clue if this is the case as I'm not finding much for information on the internet on HDMI specs. I don't fully understand HDMI tech in the first place. Any thoughts? I want to use the HDMI outputs as this makes my set-up more universal from a mobility standpoint (taking it to a friends). At this point my solution is to downgrade Xbox S to a Pro but I like having the built-in wireless, smaller dimensions, and general newness of the S.
As a side question, for system-link it would seem wireless is more convenient but I haven't used it. Is there any performance issues compared to hard-wiring a LAN cable?
I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
